Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the benefit of circumcision? Great in every respect. First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God. What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it? May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written,
"THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED." - Romans 3:1-4 NASU
Have you ever allowed an unbeliever to nullify your faith? You believe in God's promise, but someone who teaches the word of God told you not to get your hopes up because God doesn't do miracles anymore? Or you are believing to be healed of cancer, and someone tells you they thought that once and their mother died anyway. Does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?
When a promise of God does not come to pass, it doesn't always mean a lack of faith or unbelief. But when someone proactively tells others not to believe, that is unbelief. Let that person be a liar, and God be faithful to His word!
No matter the promise of God, eternal life for a repentant sinner, the return of a prodigal son, the healing of a beloved friend, a new job opportunity, a church plant, and many other promises, there will always be the unbelief of a non-believer or someone who deconstructed into an unbeliever.
Who are you going to agree? If you agree with unbelief, you have what you have. If you believe in God's faithfulness, you will realize the promise sometime in the future if you don't faint. Jesus said that man is either justified by his words or condemned, every idle word of our heart and mouth will be judged. If we agree with Jesus, we will prevail with faith. If we disagree with the Word of God because of our or someone's experience, we will be left with unbelief.
Other's experience doesn't have to be our experience. Do not allow people's unbelief to cause you to let go of your faith in Christ Jesus. All the promises of God are yes and amen in Jesus.
